Week in Review: Sen. Kelly Highlights Work to Lower RX Prices, Importance of Public Service in Prescott and Phoenix
This week, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly met with students, seniors, small business owners, public health leaders, and constituents with stops in Prescott and Phoenix. In Prescott, Sen. Kelly visited Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) to encourage students to pursue military service, celebrated Prescott Meals on Wheels’ 50th anniversary, and met with business and community leaders. In Phoenix, Sen. Kelly toured a community health center to highlight his work to lower prescription drug costs, met with constituents, and celebrated his constituent service staff’s work for Arizonans.
For his first stop, Sen. Kelly spoke with students at ERAU in Prescott, where he discussed his time in the U.S. Navy and at NASA. He encouraged students to pursue careers in military and public service.
In the afternoon, Sen. Kelly visited the Adult Center of Prescott where he met with seniors and celebrated Prescott Meals on Wheels’ 50 years of service.
Later on, Sen. Kelly held a discussion with the Prescott Chamber of Commerce and toured several small businesses in downtown Prescott.
In Phoenix, Sen. Kelly toured a Terros Community Health Center to highlight how Arizonans are benefitting from his policies to lower prescription drug costs and learn more about Terros’ work to meet the health care needs of Arizonans.
Following his tour, Sen. Kelly met with representatives from the Coalition for Medicare Choices and received a certificate to thank him for his support for Medicare Advantage programs.
Sen. Kelly then recognized Constituent Services Representative Ana Armendarez for her twenty years of dedicated public service in the United States Senate.
Finally, Sen. Kelly met directly with Arizonans who had received assistance from his constituent services team and discussed how his office can best serve Arizonans.
