Kelly Statement on Rules Committee Advancing Resolution to Confirm Hundreds of Military Nominees

Today, Arizona Senator and 25-year Navy combat veteran Mark Kelly issued the following statement after the Senate Rules Committee advanced a resolution he worked on and built support for that would allow military nominations to be confirmed en bloc over Sen. Tuberville’s hold of all admirals and generals awaiting promotion:  

“We’re one step closer to ending Senator Tuberville’s harmful blockade on the promotion of hundreds of admirals and generals, a goal several of my colleagues and I have been working towards for months.

“I will continue reaching across the aisle and urging my colleagues to find a solution so that we can begin to undo the damage to our military families and national security.”
