Kelly Statement on Congress Passing Temporary Measure to Avert a Government Shutdown

Arizona Senator Mark Kelly released the following statement today after the Senate voted to pass a Continuing Resolution that will fund the government through early next year:   

“Today, we prevented a government shutdown that would have been catastrophic for Arizonans and our economy. I’m frustrated because, once again, Washington is kicking the can down the road when it comes to funding our government and the urgent needs on the border and aid for our allies Israel and Ukraine. We cannot allow partisanship and dysfunction to keep blocking these priorities and a responsible, long-term plan to fund the government.”
