Kelly, Sinema Announce Nearly $1 Million in Solar Projects, Lowering Energy Costs for Rural Small Businesses

Senators secured $974,538 to lower energy costs for small businesses and boost clean energy use in rural Arizona

Arizona Senators Mark Kelly and Kyrsten Sinema announced a total of $974,538 for solar energy projects at rural small businesses across Arizona—lowering energy costs for businesses, supporting good-paying jobs, and strengthening clean energy use in rural communities.

“Investments like these solidify Arizona’s role as a clean energy hub and help drive costs down for businesses across the state,” said Kelly.

“We’re lowering energy costs for small businesses in rural Arizona by investing in solar energy projects to fuel economic opportunities and power homes with clean energy,” said Sinema.

Pinon Painting in Prescott will receive $28,800; Justin Littenford LLC in Sedona will receive $37,750; Chucho Produce in Nogales will receive $682,539; and Circle Z Ranch in Patagonia will receive $226,249.

The investments were delivered through the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Loans and Grants, funded by the Kelly and Sinema shaped Inflation Reduction law.
