Kelly Backs Bill to Protect IVF Access Nationwide

Arizona Senator Mark Kelly cosponsored the Access to Family Building Act, which would establish a federal right for Americans to utilize in vitro fertilization, or IVF, and other assisted reproductive technology. Last night, Senate Republicans blocked an attempt to pass the legislation through the Senate. This comes after the Alabama Supreme Court’s ruling that made the treatment impossible in the state.

“IVF is an important, and sometimes the only option for a lot of Americans who face barriers to becoming parents. I support these protections because the government has no business telling Americans how they can or can’t grow their families,” said Kelly.
