Senator Kelly’s Office Helps Secure Critical PPP Loan for The School of Architecture in Arcosanti, AZ

Today, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly announced the successful application of a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan for The School of Architecture, an apprenticeship program with deep roots in Arizona established by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

In January, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the school applied for a PPP loan, but faced several obstacles. After the school reached out to Kelly’s Senate office for assistance, Kelly’s team stepped in and helped cut through the red tape to connect the school to a community partner bank, which secured approval of the loan.

“The Paycheck Protection Program has been a lifeline for many of Arizona’s small businesses and beloved institutions during the pandemic,” said Senator Kelly. “I am proud that my office was able to step in and help cut through the red tape so that the school of architecture could keep its doors open in Arizona.”

While PPP funding has closed for new applications, Kelly’s staff can assist businesses with referrals as well as with a range of other federal issues involving veterans and active duty military, Social Security, Medicare, the Small Business Administration, Internal Revenue Service cases, immigration, passports, and others.
